Your local Cumbernauld choir is run by choir leader Ellie Humberstone. Over the past few years Rock Choir has entered British people’s hearts with its unique mix of en-masse singing, fundraising, television appearances, and commitment to community singing in towns like Cumbernauld. With performances at prestigious national venues such as Eurodisney and sporting events such as the 2012 rugby league final at Wembley Stadium which featured 1,500 choir members! – you too can have the opportunity to be a singing star!
We sing in Cumbernauld every week during term time. You can join the choir by going to rockchoir.com or you can also book a FREE singing taster session to try it beforehand. Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon ‘Big Heart’ Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
**STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
