If you are wanting to join a choir you’ll find a warm welcome with us in the Cumbernauld Rock Choir.
Your friendly local Cumbernauld choir is run by singing teacher Ellie Humberstone. You may know about our mysterious choir flash mobs around the country for Comic Relief, our sell-out performances at venues like the O2 or our hit ITV documentary, but at Rock Choir we know it’s not just about the unique huge events, it’s about our choir members singing in the community. Join your local Cumbernauld Rock Choir to become part of this ‘national phenomenon’ (as described in the Sunday Times) and discover a whole new world of opportunities to sing in Cumbernauld and make friends!
Whether you only sing in the shower or along to your car radio, or whether you see yourself belting out a showstopper at Wembley Arena (which we did! – for the ITV1 documentary ‘The Choir that Rocks’), there’s a place for you in the Cumbernauld Rock Choir. With no singing audition or need to read music, anyone can come along to a FREE taster session and see what all the fuss is about!
Here is a quote about our choir – ‘Singing gives a terrific high and is certainly an aid to fighting depression. I look forward to each week with excitement. I just want to spread the word, join Rock Choir if there is one near you. ‘ – Seana (Rock Choir Member)
Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon ‘Big Heart’ Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
**STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group.
