If you are wanting to join a choir you’ll find just what you were looking for with us in the Rock Choir.
The Darlington Rock Choir is led by local vocal coach Florence Glen. We support a number of local charities, raising money and awareness around County Durham and as a choir we also join up with other branches of Rock Choir to support national charities such as Missing People and both Comic and Sport Relief with flash mobs, fundraising events and gigs.
If you find yourself racing through the week with no time for yourself, or struggling to meet new people in the area, then joining your local branch of Rock Choir could be just the thing for you. With our unique, no-pressure approach to teaching and fun, uplifting arrangements of your favorite hit songs Florence will guide you through your weekly dose of music, fun and laughter.

Rock Choir is a winner of the Red Ribbon ‘Big Heart’ Award. and holds 1 former and 2 current Guinness World Records. The choir is also credited with single handedly starting the contemporary choir movement.
**STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.
The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!
The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
