We have a repertoire of various music genres . We do not ask that you read can music.

We are an adult male choir.

When do we rehearse?
Tuesday, 7.30 – 10.00pm
Do we ask you to audition?
Yes. We do ask you to audition.
Are we a competitive choir?
Yes. We do enter choral competitions.
What about concerts & performances?
Yes. We do perform concerts. 1. May. Concerts are both ticketed and given free.
How many members are in the choir?
We have 25 members in the choir.
Other info and how to join?
We are led by Victor Wong. We are Birmingham’s local barbershop choir and are part of the international fraternity of Barbershop singers.
We compete every year at the national barbershop convention and have sing-outs throughout the year. Notable appearances include being on BBC TV and radio and have featured in Birmingham’s Jazz Festival and at the Christmas markets.
We firmly believe that everyone can sing and we will strive to support you. The audition process includes a voice test to determine your vocal range and learning a simple song to ensure you can hold your own part.
A common thread with all Barbershop Singers is that we only wish we discovered it sooner! So don’t delay, come to one of our rehearsals to have a listen – we welcome all male singers regardless of experience.. Check us out at https://anvilchorus.uk/
Our singing ensemble was founded in 1977. We are members of British Association of Barbershop Singers, Making Music.
