Hexham Morning Rock Choir

If you have always wanted to join a choir locally, you can!

The Hexham Rock Choir is led by choir leader Rob Slater. We support a number of local good causes, raising money and awareness around Northumberland and as a choir we also sing together with other Rock Choir singers in the nearby choirs to support national charities such as Missing People and both Comic and Sport Relief with flash mobs, fundraising events and performances.

Rock Choir is the no audition, no need to read music choir and it was the first of its kind in the country. You can book yourself (and a friend if your feeling a bit nervous!) a FREE singing taster session before you join the choir. Just go to rockchoir.com and you’ll find out all you need to know. **STOP PRESS** Rock Choir, the largest contemporary choir in the world is set to release their brand-new single ‘Somewhere Only We Know’ on Friday 21st March. The single features the Founder of Rock Choir, Caroline Redman Lusher along with the voices of over 6000 Rock Choir Members.

The single will be performed for the first time on national TV on the day of release and broadcast to the entire nation on BBC1 as part of the Comic Relief ‘Red Nose Day’ show. This will be the biggest choir performance the show has ever hosted and will be an emotional and poignant moment with a few surprises thrown in!

The track, which was originally performed by Keane was recorded over several months when it was performed by Rock Choir Members in the audience of a recent sold-out theatre tour which toured across the UK in 2024 led by Caroline and The Rock Choir Vocal Group. The audience became part of the show and enjoyed a fully interactive singing concert experience.
