West Dorset Singers

What type of choir are we?

Classical . We do not ask that you read can music.

Who are we for?

We are an adult mixed gender choir.

Where do we rehearse?

United Church Hall, East Street, Bridport, Dorset

When do we rehearse?

Tuesdays 7.30-9.30 pm

Do we ask you to audition?

Yes. We do ask you to audition.

Are we a competitive choir?

No. We do not enter choral competitions.

What about concerts & performances?

Yes. We do perform live. 2. January and April. Concerts are both ticketed and given free.

How many members are in the choir?

We have 80 members in the choir.

Other info and how to join?

We are led by Matt Kingston. New singers are welcome to come for a few weeks to try us out before taking an informal voice test and joining the choir. We perform a mix of classical standards and works by lesser-known composers, with professional soloists and orchestral players.. Check us out at http://www.westdorsetsingers.org/

Our Choir was founded in 1966. We are members of National Association of Choirs.
